Remediation for the Inappropriately Excluded

As discussed in detail in the article, 'The Inappropriately Excluded, the probability of entering and remaining in an intellectually elite profession such as Physician, Judge, Professor, Scientist, Corporate Executive, etc. increases with IQ to about 133.  It then falls about 1/3 by 140.  By 150 D15IQ the probability has fallen by 97%!  In other words, a significant percentage of people with IQs over 140 are being systematically and, most likely, inappropriately, excluded from the population that addresses the biggest problems of our time or who are responsible for assuring the efficient operation of social, scientific, political and economic institutions.  This benefits neither the excluded group nor society in general. For society, it is a horrendous waste of a very valuable resource.  For the high IQ person it is a personal tragedy, commonly resulting in unrealized social, educational and productive potential.

Exclusion results from inappropriate educational and productive environments.  Through Polymathica.network-maker.com we will create P.E.N. groups that will develop and market more appropriate educational opportunities for high IQ children.  We will also create a Polymath certification process and promote it to constituencies as quality evidence of exceptional intellectual sophistication.  However, creating effective productive environments for the inappropriately excluded is more complex.  It will address all the problems through P.E.N.

For members of the inappropriately excluded who are Polymathicans, the Polymathica Enterprise Network provides a clear route to remediation.  In fact, it may be the only realistic option.  Remediation necessarily requires the acquisitionof one's audience.  For Polymathicans who are in the upper 1/2% of the population in intellectual sophistication there is no more cost effective way to find one's audience than through P.E.N.  membership.  In fact, in many cases, there is no other way.  Additionally, the subscribers to The Polymath and members ofPolymatica.network-maker.comrepresent a viable resource for successful startup crowdfunding.

The D.K. Simonton Persuasiveness Problem
Psychologist D.K. Simonton found that persuasiveness is the greatest when the presenter has an IQ about 1.2 standard deviations (σ) above the mean of their audience.  Psychologist Leta Hollingworth found that above about 2
σ comprehension is severely curtailed so that a leader/follower dynamic will either not form or fail if imposed.  In other words, audiences and subordinates, in a very real sense, set the limit of intelligence of leaders.

The mean IQ of the inappropriately excluded is about 145, which means that they need an audience with a mean IQ of 127 and the lower end of 115.  This is actually close to the expected mean and distribution of Polymathicans.  This is why P.E.N. is such a valuable tool, when mature, for remediation of the inappropriately excluded.  Polymathicans, as potential crowdfunders, will be persuaded and, as customers, will be ready to buy the product, service or content being offered.

It is rare for an owner/operator to possess all the skills and traits necessary for success.  This is why Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, Google was founded by Sergei Brin and Larry Page and Facebook was started by Mark Zuckerburg and Eduard Saverin.  Finding appropriate collaborators, however, is extremely difficult.

Executive research firms typically charge $50,000 to find a key participant in an enterprise.  This is a major hurdle to startup formation and funding.  Because collaborators must also have IQs that meet the Simonton and Hollingworth criteria, they are even harder to find for the inappropriately excluded.  However, that is not true for P.E.N. members.
P.E.N. members will have, among themselves, a ready pool of potential collaborators.

Lastly, the eminent among P.E.N., as persuaders of the membership, will likely have IQs above the ceiling of IQ tests and, according to Garth Zeitsman include historical geniuses such as '
Einstein, Hawkins, Byron, Milton, Kant, Newton, Bertrand Russell, Ayn Rand.  This means that the profoundly gifted who are generally the most consistently excluded, will find a proper environment for remediation.

P.E.N. Membership may be exactly what you need

While P.E.N Membership is not the proper course of remediation for all inappropriately excluded Polymathicans, it will be for many thousands.  It will provide the career flexibility and high income required to successfully pursue a finely crafted life. Based upon the estimated Polymathica Membership and the Linkedin experience with premium membership, we expect that, ultimately, P.E.N. will have about 18,000 members.  It will have superior search and communication access to the 4 to 6 million Polymathicans.

Polymathica has a special group for those interested in remediation strategies for the Inappropriately Excluded.
